Basic Invite

Hello friends!

Even though it’s the dead of winter, I’m looking forward to some fun events I have coming up in the spring and summer. One of my favorite parts about a party is the invitation, which is why I wanted to talk to you guys about Basic Invite.

Basic Invite is a company that makes completely customizable invitations. Unlike most invitation websites, Basic Invite gives unlimited options when it comes to color; along with being able to order samples before ordering your final product.

Another great option is the 40 different envelope color options. The coolest part about Basic Invite to me is their address capturing service. Just copy and paste a link in your social accounts, and your friends and family can submit their addresses. So easy!

My favorite designs I’ve seen of theirs lately are their winter baby shower invites, I mean how cute!?

DePasquale the Spa

Hello friends!

I hope you guys have had a great start to the new year! Today I wanted to tell you guys about my visit to Depasquale the Spa on Monday. This was my first time there and I can genuinely say I loved every bit of my experience there! So without further ado, I’ll jump right in to the experience!

After checking in with the front desk, I sat in the waiting area for the stylist who was doing my hair. To make your time there as comfortable as possible, there’s a full coffee bar right in the center of the salon where you can get hot chocolate, water, pastries, coffee and even a cappuccino.(which is right up my alley if you didn’t already know) The fresh flowers in the waiting area make the experience even more delightful.

I was called back to meet with my stylist, Erlis, who was nothing short of amazing. Erlis took the time to sit down and chat with me about my hair type, texture and made sure we were on the same page with how I wanted it cut and colored. First we did a medium brunette gloss on my hair very close to my natural color, which is exactly what I was looking for. After the color, she began to cut and told me exactly what she was doing while she was doing it. She did a soft under cut on my hair since my hair is super thick, so the bob would lay nicely and wouldn’t bevel out too much. She also chatted with me about previous hairstyles I’ve had, and even gave me a ton of tips for my hair type! Once my hair was dry she began to do some more cutting, customizing the cut and taking some of the bulk out.

I was SO happy with my overall experience and can’t wait to go back! They have a spa side next to the salon which I’ll definitely be taking advantage of next time!

All Things Velvet

Hello friends! I hope you guys are having a great week!

Now that thanksgiving is over we can start seriously shopping for all of the holiday things. That includes outfits for any holiday parties you might have coming up.

My absolute favorite fabric for this time of year is: velvet! There’s something about velvet that makes an outfit feel so luxurious and festive. I’m especially loving velvet in jewel tones this season like this Parker dress.

I’ve rounded up my favorite velvet picks for you guys below! Happy shopping!

Tweed Please

Happy Monday!
Today I’m talking about one of my favorite fabrics: tweed! Tweed gives such a classic and chic vibe to any outfit, I especially love this jacket I’m wearing from Blair Eadie’s Collab with Nordstrom! You’ll be seeing tons of the fabric this year from jackets, to shoes to skirts.
We took a walk around Central Park during this shoot. There’s seriously nothing more gorgeous than Central Park in the fall!

Are you guys loving tweed for fall? Let me know in the comments!

How To: Parisian Style

Top: Vince Pants: Leith Bag: Chloe Beret: Nordstrom Shoes: Sam Edelman

Hey friends!

I wanted to talk about of my favorite styles: Parisian style. I think every fashionista can relate to having a love for all things Parisian, including how French women dress.

Parisian style is all about being effortlessly put together. Think jeans, a pair of heels and a white button down. Or, in this case, a stripped tee, trousers and a beret!

How do you incorporate Parisian style into your wardrobe? Let me know in the comments!

Hello and happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite trends of this fall: animal print!

I love how versatile and easy this dress is to style. I’ve paired it with sneakers for a casual day out and about along with heels and a leather jacket for a dressier look.

This dress would also be super chic with a pair of booties and a long coat for when the temps start to drop. I’ve rounded up my favorite animal print looks below, what’s your favorite way to wear animal print?
