I hope you’re all having a great week! Today I wanted to share a boutique that’s new to me with you guys called Chicwish. Chicwish is an online boutique with super trendy and affordable pieces. I absolutely love this boho dress ! It’s so light and airy making it perfect for a day out and about.
I hope you all had a great weekend! Today I wanted to share a review on my 4 months of taking bar classes at The Bar Method, Marlboro New Jersey. I absolutely loved the classes, the instructors and the results!
The first thing I noticed when I started was how much stronger I felt. Before I started taking Bar I was doing mostly cardio only and wasn’t really building any muscle/strength. I definitely feel stronger overall, which is always a good feeling!
Another result I had: more toned arms and abs! I mean who doesn’t want that?! Bar Method works your entire body but I noticed a ton of definition in my upper body right in time for summer.
A very important part of Bar Method is working on flexibility. Working on flexibility is essential to any work out to prevent injuries. I personally enjoy this work out so much because I was A dancer for so many years. Bar Method is great for working all those same muscles I used to use in class everyday!

I hope you’re all having a great week! We’ve been having great weather all week here in New Jersey and I think it’s safe to say summer is finally here!
With the warm weather finally being here, I wanted to talk about my absolute favorite print trend for summer, polka dots! I love how effortlessly chic they look on just about anything. There are sooo many great polka dot pieces out right now and I have to restrain myself from buying them all! I love mixing and matching different sizes of polka dots like with the set I’m wearing here. I wore this for a day in Asbury Park and it was so comfy and perfect!
On today’s post, I’ll be answering some of the FAQ’s I’m always getting, thank you to everyone who submitted a question!!
Q: “How do you do your hair!? It’s always perfect!”
A: First of all, thank you for saying that cause ya girl spends a lot of time on her hair! Seriously tho you should see some of my bad hair days, yikes. My hair used to be naturally curly and now it has more of just a wave to it. After I wash my hair I blow dry it with a dry bar hair dryer and then curl it with a t3 micro wand. That’s pretty much it! With shorter hair it’s definitely not as complicated/time consuming to curl it. Would you guys want to see a full hair post/tutorial? Let me know!!
Q: “Did you always want to be a blogger? If not what did you used to want to be?”
A: I actually did not always want to be a blogger, I didn’t have that revelation until about 2 years ago. Before I started blogging I was in college, then working a retail job and I honestly hated it. Retail can be a great job for some people but it just really wasn’t for me.
Q: “What inspired you to start your blog?”
A: While I was trying to figure out what I should be doing with my life, all I knew was that I loved fashion, pictures, anything aesthetically pleasing and writing. I had been thinking about starting a blog for months before I actually did it. I met my friend Lauren at my old job who is a part time photographer and still takes my pictures most of the time! I felt like meeting was some sort of sign that the universe was telling me to just jump into it already, and here I am!
Q: “Favorite foundation? Do you ever use tinted moisturizer?”
A: I use tinted moisturizer for everyday and foundation for events or taking blog pictures. I use Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue as my tinted moisturizer and bare minerals foundation.
Q: Have you always lived in New Jersey? And how old are you?
A: Yes, born and raised! Im 24.
Q: Best advice for someone wanting to start a blog?
A: My number one thing to say would be to just do it! No one really knows exactly what they’re doing when they first start, but everyone starts from somewhere! Practice makes perfect and you learn as you go along.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been a “dress girl”. I’d choose to wear a dress over almost anything else, shorts, jeans, skirts- they’re just such an easy go-to outfit! Most of the time in the summer you’ll find me wearing a dress with any kind of shoe. Heels, flat sandals, wedges or even sneakers. What’s your go to outfit in the summer? Let me know in the comments!
Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a fun Cinco de Mayo weekend! This aztec tank was so perfect for a Cinco de Mayo vibe, and will be great for the rest of summer. Not to mention it’s on sale and comes in 3 colors! These white jeans are from Articles of Society and they’re definitely my fave white jeans I own. I love the distressing detail and they have a good amount of stretch to them. My wedges are from last year and they’re SO comfortable that I’m thinking about getting a second pair!
I cant believe it’s finally MAY guys!! After what felt like the LONGEST winter ever in NJ it’s so nice to have it finally be spring.
I saw a ton of lemon print last summer and it’s clear that the print will be sticking around the season. For Love and Lemons has some really cute lemon print options, or if you’re looking for a more affordable option my set is under 40. I’ll be linking some of my budget-friendly favorites below!
It’s Fridaaaaay guys!! I hope you guys had a great week! I’ve had my eye on this Free People dress for a while now and finally purchased it and I’m so glad I did! It comes in a few different colors and the fabric is super lightweight making it perfect for summer. You can style this dress with heels, sandals or sneakers as seen here. After walking around the boardwalk for a while, we went to Coney Waffle. They have the craziest milkshakes and ice cream!
I mean, doesn’t that milkshake look amazing!?
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!
